When a company has an Oil Spill, they normally use vacumes to remove as much oil off the surface water as possible. Then they will try to contain the Spill with large Floatable Containment Booms that have "skirts" that hang about four feet under the water held under by chains in order to keep the oil from going inland. Ocean waves will splash over these large Booms and send the Oil in all different directions. At this point professional Spill Contractors are sent in to further contain the spill and start soaking up the oil as it aims for the coastline. The Oil Slicks break apart and creates many separate smaller spills. When the Oil Slick gets close to the Beaches, the company uses White Absorbent Booms that soak up oil as they float to contain the oil. Hydrophobic Pads or pads that repell water but soak oil are used to soak up oil in smaller areast as the oil flows toward the beaches. Some of the Oil makes its way up into the sand and must be manually shovelled up. After the spill absorbents are saturated, our job is use our 18 years of experience, R & D and and multiple patents to clean and these oil saturated absorbents for Reuse and keep them OUT of Land fills.
